Here's the context
The Hub building is an Art-Deco heritage-listed structure built in 1930s as "Railway House". It is privately owned and leased by the NSW Government until 2028, with the government now breaking this lease three years early.
The community vibe has always been magical, collaborative, high-energy. As anyone who's been there knows.
There's 100+ cafes and bars within a 5-min walk.
It had it's funding cut by over half in 2023.
Feels worth saving right? We should have 2 hubs and not only is this place accessible because of it's proximity to Wynyard station and saving a lot of time for people visiting. It's one of the most accessible buildings in the city for people with a disability and with mobility issues.
